Brett Scott
Biography:
Brett Scott co-founded Xpand IT in 2006 with his school friend and business partner, Steven Preston. Together they created a sustainable, award-winning IT business that is recognised as a reputable industry leader. In 2020, after Steven’s sudden passing, Brett took over as managing director. Equipped with his MBA, analytical and logical skills, as well as his technical experience, Brett naturally navigates this role. His professional ambition is to grow the business and the individuals in the team. He values personal development and continues to provide technical leadership and mentorship to the staff, maintaining that attitude and personality outrank aptitude.Tracy van Niekerk
Biography:
After earning a B.Com in financial management at the University of Johannesburg, Tracy van Niekerk joined the Johannesburg Xpand IT branch in 2011 as a bookkeeper. She describes the people she works with as her second family and loves her role as she feels interconnected with each part of the company. She explains that while the process of managing finances hasn’t changed, the IT industry, including the services offered by Xpand IT, is ever-changing, keeping her stimulated and driven.Sihle Sibiya
Biography:
At the beginning of 2012, Sihle Sibiya joined the Johannesburg Xpand IT team as a technician. He quickly grasped the way things worked and within a year found himself in the team leader role. Today, having grown into the technical manager position, Sihle makes an effort to recognise and reward his team’s efforts, nurturing a culture of open-mindedness, dedication and positive energy. Xpand IT is an environment he feels represents his family away from family, and one in which he thrives; aspects he aims to foster within his team.Kealeboga Mathabatha
Biography:
After joining Xpand IT in 2008 as an intern, Kealeboga Mathabatha began working her way up into more senior roles, namely systems administrator, team leader and now as a client services manager. Based in Johannesburg, Kealeboga refers to her colleagues as ‘family’. She describes the team as professionals who are custio capable but acknowledge that they are humans first. She finds every day brings a new challenge and something new to learn; for “a day without learning is a day wasted – and there are no wasted days at Xpand IT.”Dean Irwin
